At each end of (or interruption of) a railing section, you must install a minimum of a 5' Outrigger system 90º away from the danger side to properly support the end railing section - see "Roof Top - Exhaust Stack" photo.
No matter how many kits you require, you will always need to order (1) extra base to complete the system. (The only exception is if you are forming an enclosed square or rectangle in which case the extra base is not required - see "Roof Hatch/Skylight" - Skylight photo.)
